Honda City Oil Leak — Common Sources & Repair Cost Malaysia
Oil patch under your parked Honda City? Seeping engine oil? Common leak points, how serious each is, and Malaysia repair costs.

An oil patch under a parked Honda City is always worth investigating. Some leaks are minor and can wait for the next service visit; others indicate a problem that could damage the engine if ignored. The first step is identifying where the oil is coming from.
Common Honda City oil leak locations
Valve cover gasket: the most common leak on older City models. Oil seeps down the side of the engine. Repair: RM120–RM250 (gasket + labour).
Oil pan gasket: leaks from the bottom of the engine. Common on high-mileage cars. Repair: RM150–RM350.
Camshaft or crankshaft oil seals: usually seen as a heavier leak with oil covering a wider area. Repair: RM200–RM500 depending on which seal.
How serious is the leak?
Check the oil level first. If it's dropping noticeably between changes, top up immediately and get it checked urgently — running an engine low on oil can cause catastrophic damage within minutes.
A minor weep from an aged gasket that doesn't drop the oil level is lower urgency — but should still be fixed at the next service visit.
