M Hybrid is a 24V mild-hybrid system; the CX-90 PHEV operates at high voltage (100V+) with a 17.8 kWh traction battery and dedicated electric motors. The CX-90's inline-6 PHEV architecture makes M Hybrid redundant — the electric motor provides far more assistance than any BISG system. Do not confuse the two: M Hybrid does not enable EV driving, the CX-90 PHEV does.
