BMW 5 Series CBS Reset Malaysia
CBS tracks oil, brake fluid, brake pads, vehicle check and microfilter independently. Reset each after service via ISTA or iDrive menu. G30 adds additional electrical systems to CBS tracking. Do not let counters pile up.
CBS — 5 Series Tracking Items
- Engine oil: mileage + time counter
- Brake fluid: 2-year time counter
- Brake pads: wear sensor
- Vehicle check: annual service reminder
- G30 adds: air conditioning service interval
Multiple Expired CBS Items — Do Not Reset All
On a used 5 Series that has not been properly maintained, you may find 3–4 CBS items all expired simultaneously. Do not reset all at once to 'clear' the dashboard — complete each service first, then reset only that item. Resetting without completing the service is not just dishonest, it removes the only reminder system the owner has to maintain the car correctly.
