F10 N20: LL-04, 0W-30, 5.25L. F10 N55: LL-01 FE, 0W-30, 6.5L. G30 B48: LL-17, 0W-20, 5.0L. G30 B58: LL-17 FE+, 0W-30, 6.5L. Always check oil cap or door sticker for exact spec — wrong oil damages VANOS solenoids.

- F10 N20 (520i): BMW LL-04 0W-30, 5.25L
- F10 N55 (535i): BMW LL-01 FE 0W-30, 6.5L
- G30 B48 (530i): BMW LL-17 0W-20, 5.0L
- G30 B58 (540i): BMW LL-17 FE+ 0W-30, 6.5L
- Malaysia change interval: every 10,000 km regardless of CBS
N55 Oil Consumption
The N55 in the F10 535i can consume 0.5–1L of oil per 10,000 km — BMW considered this within spec. Check oil level every 3,000 km or once a month. Carry a spare litre in the boot. Oil consumption worsens with age — if your N55 consumes more than 1L per 5,000 km, have the valve stem seals and turbo oil feed inspected.
