BMW 5 Series Oil Leak Malaysia — F10/G30

Common Oil Leak Points — F10/G30

  • F10 N20: valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket
  • F10 N55: valley pan gasket between turbo banks, charge pipe oil residue, turbo oil feed
  • G30 B48: oil separator hose, cam cover gasket
  • B58: turbo oil return line common at high mileage

N55 Valley Pan — Expensive Repair

The N55 twin-turbo layout creates a hot valley between the two cylinder banks. The valley pan gasket seals this area and is prone to failure at 80,000–120,000 km. The failure is visible as oil pooling under the intake manifold. Repair requires removing the intake manifold and is labour-intensive — budget RM 1,500–2,500 at 4M Car Care. Do not ignore it; oil reaching the hot turbo can cause fires.
