BMW 5 Series Carbon Cleaning Malaysia
All F10/G30 petrol engines are direct injection — carbon buildup at 60,000–80,000 km. 6-cylinder N55/B58 has 6 intake ports to clean. Walnut blast: 4-cyl RM 600–1,000; 6-cyl RM 900–1,500. EGR cleaning for B48/B58 adds RM 300–500.

Carbon Cleaning — F10/G30
- All F10/G30 petrol engines are direct injection — carbon buildup is inevitable
- Service interval: at 60,000–80,000 km (sooner in KL city traffic)
- Walnut blast: 4-cyl RM 700–1,100; 6-cyl N55/B58 RM 1,000–1,600
- EGR cleaning for B48/B58 G30: additional RM 300–500
6-Cylinder Carbon Cleaning — More Work
The N55 and B58 engines have 6 intake valves per bank compared to 4 on the N20/B48. Walnut blasting requires masking each port individually, vacuuming out debris, and verifying all ports are clear with a borescope. The 6-cylinder job takes approximately 4 hours vs 2.5 hours for the 4-cylinder. Budget RM 1,000–1,600 for the 6-cylinder version — it is not a job to compromise on.
