Toyota Alphard Wheel Alignment — How Often, Why It Matters
Alphard's long wheelbase and 1,900 kg weight mean alignment errors wear tyres fast and cost more to fix. Do wheel alignment every 20,000 km or after hitting a large pothole. Cost: RM 60–80.

Toyota Alphard wheel alignment is important for two reasons: the vehicle's weight (1,900 kg) amplifies the effect of misalignment on tyre wear, and the long wheelbase means small angular errors translate to larger tyre scrub distances. Alphard tyres are not cheap — proper alignment protects that investment.
How Often & What to Check
Do wheel alignment every 20,000 km or whenever you hit a significant pothole (unfortunately common on Sri Damansara and Kepong roads). Also do alignment whenever replacing tyres or suspension components. What the alignment checks: front and rear toe (most critical — affects straight-line stability and tyre wear), front camber (affects cornering and tyre wear), caster (affects steering return-to-centre feel). Cost: 4-wheel alignment at independent workshop RM 60–80. If the car pulls to one side after alignment — recheck tyre pressures first before returning to workshop.
