Honda Odyssey Resale Value Malaysia (RC1) — Owner Guide
Honda Odyssey RC1 resale values in Malaysia — premium MPV buyers scrutinise ATF DW-1 history, sliding door function, dual AC and full service records.

Honda Odyssey RC1 occupies the premium end of the used MPV market in Malaysia. Its resale curve is steep from new (all luxury MPVs depreciate quickly) but stabilises around years 4–6. A well-maintained RC1 in this window is exceptional value.
What protects Odyssey resale value
1. ATF DW-1 service records — the 6AT is a key reason buyers choose the RC1 over CVT rivals; documented fluid changes prove it was respected. 2. Both sliding doors working smoothly — buyers test them extensively; any hesitation or noise drops offers by RM3,000–5,000. 3. Both AC zones (front and rear) performing. 4. Power tailgate working. 5. No accident history — the Odyssey's size means accident repairs are expensive and visible. 6. Original 8 seats all in good condition.
Odyssey ownership tip
Many RC1 owners are surprised that the dual cabin filters matter for resale. Buyers often test rear AC first (it is not obvious unless you know the car has two filters). A musty rear-cabin smell from a neglected rear filter will cost you RM2,000–4,000 in negotiation. Keep both filters changed and keep the receipts. The Odyssey rewards thorough documentation more than almost any other Honda.
