Honda Odyssey RC1 2.4L i-VTEC uses 0W-20 fully synthetic; RC4 hybrid has different oil spec. Change intervals and best brands for Malaysia.
Honda Odyssey RC1 uses a 2.4L i-VTEC naturally aspirated engine paired to a 6-speed automatic — not a CVT. The RC4 is a hybrid. This guide covers the RC1, which is the more common variant at our workshop.
Oil spec and change interval
Spec: 0W-20 full synthetic or 5W-20 (check owner's manual for your year). Capacity: 4.2L with filter. Interval: every 5,000 km in city; 7,500 km highway. The Odyssey's large 8-seat cabin means the engine works harder in Malaysian traffic — do not stretch oil intervals. Cost: RM180–260 including filter.
