Honda Odyssey RC1 uses a 6-speed automatic transmission — not a CVT. The correct transmission fluid is Honda ATF DW-1. Do not use CVT fluid or generic ATF — ATF DW-1 is the specified fluid for this gearbox.
ATF DW-1 service guide
Honda ATF DW-1 only. Capacity: approx. 6.5L drain-and-fill. Interval: every 40,000 km. The 6AT handles the full weight of an 8-seat MPV — fluid degradation leads to harsh or delayed shifts. Signs of neglect: jerky shifts, slipping between 2nd and 3rd, hunting in traffic. ATF service at our workshop: RM220–300.
