Odyssey RC1 has two evaporators — front and rear. Musty odours typically come from the rear evaporator, which is less serviced and accumulates moisture from rear-zone cooling.
Dual evaporator care
Sanitise both evaporators annually — front costs RM80–130, rear RM100–150 (harder to access). Run fan-only for 5 minutes in both front and rear zones before shutdown. Replace both cabin filters at the same interval. If refrigerant loss occurs without a visible condenser leak, suspect either evaporator — requires pressure testing of each circuit separately.
