Honda Civic 1.5T Carbon Cleaning Malaysia — When & Cost
Direct-injection Civic 1.5T builds intake carbon. Walnut blasting vs chemical clean — signs to watch for and Malaysia workshop costs.

The Honda Civic 1.5T uses direct fuel injection (GDI), where fuel is sprayed directly into the combustion chamber. Unlike port injection, GDI engines have no fuel washing the intake valves — carbon deposits build up on the intake valves over time and must be physically removed.
When to clean and what it costs
Symptoms typically appear after 60,000–80,000 km: rough idle, slight hesitation under acceleration, reduced fuel economy. Two main methods: chemical intake cleaner spray (RM100–RM180, less effective), or walnut blasting (RM400–RM700, physically removes all carbon).
