Honda Civic Aircond Not Cold — Diagnosis Guide
Honda Civic FC/FE aircond weak or not cold? Compressor, condenser, refrigerant or evaporator — find the real cause before spending money.

Honda Civic FC and FE aircond complaints are relatively uncommon, but when they occur, most owners make the mistake of immediately adding refrigerant without diagnosing why it's low. In a sealed system, low refrigerant always means a leak.
Most common causes
Low refrigerant due to condenser micro-leak — very common on older FC models with stone chip damage to the aluminium condenser. Compressor clutch failure (less common on FC/FE but occurs at high mileage). Dirty condenser or evaporator reducing efficiency.
Fix: full system diagnostic (leak test + pressure test) before any refrigerant top-up. At 4M Car Care, we test before recharging — no guessing.
