Toyota Rush Shock Absorber Guide
Rush high centre of gravity and short wheelbase means worn shocks cause noticeable body roll in corners. Check at 80,000 km. Replacement cost RM 400–800/pair.

Rush Shock Absorbers — High Ground Clearance Wear
Rush has 195 mm ground clearance — one of the highest in its class. This means the suspension travels further over bumps, putting more work through the shock absorbers over time. Malaysian roads (speed bumps, potholes) accelerate wear. Life expectancy: 70,000–100,000 km. Signs of worn shocks: car rocks excessively after going over bumps, bouncing doesn't settle quickly, visible oil on shock body. Replace in pairs: KYB Excel-G or Monroe Reflex are good value options.
