Toyota Rush EPS Steering Guide
Rush uses electric power steering (EPS) — no steering fluid needed. EPS warning light, heavy steering or erratic assist means EPS ECU or motor fault. Diagnosis.

Rush EPS — Electric Power Steering Maintenance
Rush AN160 uses EPS (Electric Power Steering) — no hydraulic fluid to change. EPS is generally maintenance-free. Issues: EPS warning light on dashboard means the electric motor or torque sensor has a fault. Common causes: low battery voltage causing EPS to go into protection mode (fix: charge or replace battery); EPS motor bearing failure (rare, but costly at RM 800–1,500). If steering feels consistently heavy, check battery voltage first before assuming EPS motor failure.
