Fortuner Diesel Fuel Filter — Change Every 30,000–40,000 km
Fortuner diesel fuel filter protects the common-rail injection system from contaminated fuel. The 2GD-FTV and 1GD-FTV use a cartridge-style fuel filter with a water separator drain. Check the water separator sight glass at every oil change — if water is present, drain it immediately. Replace the full filter every 30,000–40,000 km. Using low-quality diesel from non-major brand stations increases clogging rate. Cost: RM 90–170 parts + RM 50 labour.
