Subaru XV O2 Sensor Malaysia
The Subaru XV FB20 has upstream (pre-cat) and downstream (post-cat) oxygen sensors. A faulty O2 sensor triggers a check engine light and can cause poor fuel economy or failed emissions tests. Common fault codes are P0131, P0141, and P0420. O2 sensor lifespan is typically 100,000–150,000 km. In Malaysia, using poor quality fuel can shorten sensor life. Replace with OEM or Denso/NGK equivalent sensors.

Subaru XV O2 Sensor
- XV O2 sensor: same FB20/FB16 2-sensor configuration as Forester; upstream sensor primary for fuel control; downstream for catalytic monitor; XV urban stop-start driving means O2 sensor works harder — reaches operating temperature and cools more frequently
- XV e-Boxer O2 sensor: e-Boxer FB16 O2 sensor configuration same as non-hybrid; hybrid EV mode at low speed means O2 sensor is cold more often; hybrid system warms up engine to normal temp before relying on closed-loop O2 feedback
- XV O2 sensor replacement brand: NGK NTK or Denso OEM O2 sensors; available from local parts supplier for XV sizes; confirm part number matches FB20 or FB16 (different engine sizes have different O2 sensor specs)
