Subaru XV Brake Disc Replacement Malaysia
Subaru XV brake discs (rotors) should be measured for thickness and checked for warping during each brake pad service. Warped discs cause pedal pulsation and are common after heavy braking in Malaysia's stop-and-go traffic. Replace when thickness falls below the minimum spec. Avoid very cheap replacement rotors — quality rotors are important for the XV's AWD braking performance.

Subaru XV Brake Discs
- XV front discs: 290–300mm vented; smaller than Forester but adequate for compact crossover weight; disc life 60,000–80,000 km for moderate urban drivers
- XV rear discs: solid rear discs — inspect every 60,000 km; rear disc corrosion lip common when rear brakes are underused; corrosion lip at disc edge indicates disc needs replacement
- XV disc and AWD: Subaru AWD requires consistent braking across all four wheels — disc size mismatch or heavily worn rear discs on XV causes ABS to behave unusually
- XV disc material: use OEM-spec grey cast iron discs; avoid cheap rotors that warp quickly in Malaysia heat; paired with quality pads for best braking feel
