Subaru XV ABS Warning Light Malaysia
The Subaru XV ABS warning light indicates a fault in the anti-lock braking system. Common causes include a faulty wheel speed sensor (often after driving through deep flood water in Malaysia), a damaged sensor ring, or an ABS module fault. On AWD variants, ABS integrates with the vehicle dynamics control and AWD torque management — a persistent ABS fault should be diagnosed promptly. Do not ignore an ABS light as it disables emergency braking protection.

Subaru XV ABS Warning Light
- XV ABS and VDC: same architecture as Forester; WSS fault triggers both lights; urban XV use means more road grime exposure at front wheels — front WSS replacement more common than rear; inspect WSS at each tyre change
- XV e-Boxer ABS: e-Boxer XV has additional motor resolver codes that can appear alongside ABS light — SSM4 distinguishes hybrid motor speed sensor from wheel speed sensor faults; do not confuse
- XV ABS fault in rain: ABS fault means ABS does not activate in emergency braking — tyres can lock; in Malaysia wet season this is significant; fix ABS promptly; drive with extra caution and longer stopping distance if ABS light is on
