BMW X1 CBS Reset Malaysia
X1 CBS tracks oil, brake fluid, brake pads, vehicle check, microfilter. Reset each via ISTA or iDrive after service. Simplest CBS system among BMW SUVs. Malaysia ISTA reset RM 80–120. Never let multiple CBS counters expire at once — reset immediately after each service.

CBS — Biggest Blindspot: xDrive Fluids
The single biggest maintenance mistake we see on used F48 xDrive X1s is owners relying entirely on CBS and never changing the transfer case or rear differential fluid. At 4M Car Care, when we service an xDrive X1 with no documented drivetrain fluid history, we open the transfer case and rear diff first. Old MTF-LT-2 runs thick and dark, often with metallic particles — we have seen xDrive X1s at 80,000 km with original factory fill. Always change these fluids at 40,000 km intervals; do not rely on CBS.
