BMW X1 Engine Oil Malaysia — B38/B48
F48 sDrive18i B38 1.5T: BMW LL-17 0W-20, 4.5L (only 3 cylinders — less oil). F48 xDrive28i B48 2.0T: BMW LL-17 0W-20, 5.0L. U11 xDrive23i B48: BMW LL-17 0W-20, 5.0L. Malaysia: change every 10,000 km. Do not use LL-04 in any B38 or B48 engine.

X1 Oil — Right for Our Heat
The X1's B38 and B48 engines use BMW LL-17 0W-20 — the same spec as the 1 Series. We change at 10,000 km (not the CBS suggestion which can extend to 20,000 km) because Malaysia's heat and traffic stress the oil more than temperate-climate driving. An oil change at 4M Car Care for the B38 X1 is RM 180–260; for the B48 X1 RM 200–300.
