Brake Fluid and SUV Weight
The F48 X1 weighs 150–200 kg more than the F20 1 Series. This additional mass generates more brake heat per stop — brake fluid moisture absorption therefore poses a greater risk on the X1. Always change brake fluid every 2 years on the X1. If you use the X1 for highway driving with frequent high-speed braking, annual changes are advisable.
