BMW 3 Series Carbon Cleaning Malaysia — N20/B48
N20 and B48 direct injection engines accumulate carbon on intake valves at 60,000–80,000 km. Rough idle, misfires and hesitation on acceleration are the symptoms. Walnut shell blast cleaning RM 600–1,000. Regular short-trip driving accelerates buildup.

Carbon buildup is accelerated by low-load driving — exactly the condition of KL city traffic. At low RPM and partial throttle, the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) system pumps oily vapour onto the intake valves where it bakes on. Highway driving slows the process. If you drive mainly in the city, bring your 3 Series for a carbon check at 60,000 km.
