BMW 3 Series Coolant Service Malaysia — Blue HT-12
BMW uses blue HT-12 coolant — change every 4 years or 80,000 km. N20 and B48 use electric water pump and plastic thermostat housing; both fail and cause overheating. Malaysia workshop cost RM 250–450. Never mix HT-12 with green antifreeze.

Overheating Warning Signs
BMW 3 Series overheating is usually caused by expansion tank failure (F30) or electric water pump failure (both generations). Warning signs: temperature gauge rising above midpoint, low coolant level warning, steam from bonnet. Stop driving immediately — BMW engines can warp the head gasket within minutes of overheating.
