BMW 3 Series Engine Oil Guide — LL-04 / LL-17
F30 N20: BMW Longlife-04 (LL-04), 0W-30 or 5W-30, 5.25L. G20 B48: BMW Longlife-17 (LL-17), 0W-20, 5.0L. Never use non-LL approved oil — VANOS and Valvetronic require correct viscosity. Malaysia change interval: 10,000 km max.
Oil Specification by Engine
- F30 N20 (320i/328i): BMW LL-04 0W-30, 5.25L
- F30 N55 (335i): BMW LL-01 FE 0W-30, 6.5L
- G20 B48 (320i/330i): BMW LL-17 0W-20, 5.0L
- G20 B58 (340i): BMW LL-17 FE+ 0W-30, 6.5L
Critical: Do Not Use Wrong Spec
Using LL-04 in a B48 or B58 engine will void the warranty and can cause premature wear. The newer B-series engines require the lower-viscosity LL-17 spec. Always check the engine code on the service sticker before adding oil. At 4M Car Care we stock all BMW-approved grades.
