Yaris is popular used in Malaysia — good value, low fuel costs, urban-friendly. For hybrid units, additional checks apply. Our workshop offers pre-purchase inspections.

• CVT petrol: shudder test — at 40–60 km/h accelerate gently; shudder means CVT needs fluid change or worse
• Hybrid battery SOC (state of charge) display: watch if battery SOC drops unusually fast during test drive
• Hybrid: confirm no battery warning lights, hybrid system warnings on instrument cluster
• Oil colour: amber-brown normal; very dark = overdue for change; milky = coolant leak
• TSS: check for cracks in windscreen near the front camera — a cracked screen near TSS needs calibration after replacement
• Tyre condition: check for uneven wear patterns (alignment/suspension issue) or old manufacture date (>5 years)
