Toyota Yaris Coolant Guide Malaysia
Yaris uses Toyota SLLC pink coolant, change every 4–5 years. Hybrid Yaris has two separate cooling circuits — engine and inverter — both must be maintained.
Yaris Coolant — SLLC for Petrol, SLLC + Inverter Coolant for Hybrid
Yaris petrol: Toyota SLLC pink, ~4.5L, change every 4 years or 80,000 km. Yaris Hybrid: two separate cooling circuits — (1) engine coolant (Toyota SLLC pink, same as petrol, change 4 years/80,000 km) and (2) inverter coolant (Toyota Inverter Coolant, pink, ~2L, change every 160,000 km or 10 years). Never mix them or use aftermarket fluids in the hybrid inverter circuit — the hybrid system components (MG1, MG2, power control unit) are sensitive to coolant chemistry.
