Yaris Shock Absorbers — Light Car, Long Life
Yaris is one of the lightest cars in its class (1,050–1,120 kg). Light weight extends shock absorber life — expect 100,000–130,000 km before replacement is needed. However, Malaysian potholes and speed bumps still stress the shock absorbers. Signs of wear: car bounces over 2 bumps before settling, steering wanders slightly on rough surfaces. For the Yaris Hybrid, the heavier battery pack (rear) means rear shocks may wear slightly faster. Replace in pairs. KYB Excel-G recommended.
