- XP90 (2005–2013): 1.5L 1NZ-FE, 4AT — robust old-gen engine but showing age; common rust on door sills, faded plastics
- XP150 (2013–2019): 1.5L 2NZ-FE/1NZ-FE, CVT or 7-speed CVT; more refined, mid-gen sweet spot
- XP210 (2019–present): 1.5L 2NR-FKE petrol CVT or 1.8L 2ZR-FXE hybrid e-CVT; TNGA platform, TSS standard — best generation to buy
- For used buyers: XP210 hybrid (2021+) if available — lower fuel cost and proven hybrid system outweigh the slight premium
