Toyota Vellfire Engine Mount — Vibration at Idle Diagnosis
Vellfire shakes at traffic lights? Worn engine mounts are the most common cause — but easily confused with spark plug misfire or CVT issues. How to tell them apart and what repair costs.

Vellfire Engine Mount Guide
Vellfire uses both rubber engine mounts and a torque rod — common failure happens between 80,000–120,000 km. On hybrids, a worn engine mount causes vibration that is transmitted through the cabin floor, which passengers notice acutely because the car spends so much time in EV-only mode (when engine is off and vibrations are most perceptible). Symptoms: vibration felt through the steering wheel or floor at idle, clunking sound when engaging Drive or Reverse.
- Engine mount replacement (single mount): RM 200–450 parts + labour
- Torque rod replacement: RM 300–600
- Inspect all mounts at once when one fails — usually they all age at the same rate
