Toyota Vellfire Cabin Filter — Front & Rear Both Must Be Changed
Vellfire has separate front and rear cabin filters — most owners only change the front, leaving the rear mouldy and causing musty smell for second and third-row passengers.

Vellfire Cabin Air Filter Guide
Vellfire has two cabin air filters — one for the front HVAC unit and one for the rear HVAC unit. Both must be changed every 20,000 km. The front filter is located behind the glove box; the rear filter is typically under the rear seat or in the D-pillar area. Owners who change only the front filter (and ignore the rear) will notice the rear passengers complain about reduced airflow and musty smell — the rear filter is the culprit.
- Front filter: Toyota 87139-0E040 or equivalent, change every 20,000 km
- Rear filter: Toyota 87139-0E050 or equivalent, same interval
- Cost to replace both (parts + labour): RM 100–180 total at our workshop
- Upgrade to activated carbon filters to eliminate cabin odours — especially useful for Kepong, Desa ParkCity commuters
