Vellfire Hybrid uses regenerative braking as the primary deceleration method — friction brake pads are only engaged for hard braking events. This extends pad life significantly compared to conventional cars. Expect front pads to last 60,000–80,000 km and rear pads 80,000–100,000 km on a Vellfire driven mainly in the city. The catch: because pads are used so rarely, disc rust and caliper seizing become the more common issue — especially on rear calipers.

• Front pads (OEM equivalent, set): RM 250–450
• Rear pads (set): RM 200–380
• Caliper clean + lubrication: RM 80–120 (do this every 30,000 km)
