Toyota Vellfire A/C Not Cold — Dual-Zone Fault Diagnosis
Vellfire dual-zone A/C: if both zones fail, suspect compressor or refrigerant. If only rear fails, rear evaporator mould is the most common cause. Full diagnosis guide for Malaysia.

Vellfire Air-Cond Not Cold — Diagnosis Guide
Vellfire has a dual-zone climate control system with a separate front and rear evaporator, two separate cabin air filters, and two separate refrigerant circuits (on some models). This means diagnosing 'aircond not cold' requires checking front and rear separately — a clogged rear cabin filter, a failed rear blower motor, or a faulty rear expansion valve can make only the rear feel warm while the front is fine.
Vellfire Aircond Diagnosis Checklist
- Both front and rear warm: likely low refrigerant or compressor failure — scan for error codes first
- Only rear warm: check rear cabin filter (often forgotten), rear blower, rear evaporator
- Aircond blows warm when idle, cold when moving: likely low gas pressure
- Refrigerant top-up (R134a): RM 150–250; compressor replacement: RM 1,500–2,800
