Vellfire H30 hybrid uses an electric compressor — it runs independently of engine speed, which is why the aircond stays cold even when the engine is off (EV mode). The electric compressor requires special hybrid-compatible PAG oil (POE oil) — never use standard R134a PAG oil as it damages the motor windings inside the electric compressor. H40 turbo models use a belt-driven compressor as the engine is always running.
- H30 electric compressor replacement: RM 2,000–3,500 (genuine) / RM 1,200–1,800 (remanufactured)
- Always use POE oil for H30 electric compressor top-up or replacement
- Belt-driven compressor (H40): RM 1,200–2,200; check serpentine belt at same time
