Wheel alignment should be checked every 20,000 km and after any significant kerb hit or pothole impact. Misalignment causes uneven tyre wear, straight-line drift and increased fuel consumption.
Symptoms of Misalignment
- Car pulls left or right when driving straight
- Steering wheel off-centre when driving straight
- One-sided tyre wear (inner or outer edge worn faster)
2-Wheel vs 4-Wheel Alignment
- 2-wheel alignment (front only): RM 40–60 — sufficient after simple steering or wheel work
- 4-wheel alignment: RM 70–100 — required after rear suspension work or major accident
