Buying a Used Nissan Grand Livina Malaysia — Checklist
Key checks: (1) CVT fluid colour — light pink/red is good, dark brown means neglect, walk away. (2) Cold start — listen for timing chain rattle (VG20 oil neglect). (3) Power steering — turn full lock both ways, pump whine = wear. (4) A/C cooling test — all vents including rear. (5) All 7 seats and seatbelts functional. (6) OBD scan for CVT fault codes (P0744). (7) Test drive — CVT shudder at low speed is a red flag. (8) Check under the car for oil stains and suspension condition.
