Mercedes-Benz GLE AIRMATIC Suspension Service Malaysia
Most GLE variants come standard with AIRMATIC air suspension. Compressor, air struts, ride height sensors and valve blocks are service items. AIRMATIC costs and failure signs in Malaysia.
All GLE W166 and V167 come with AIRMATIC as standard — there is no steel spring option. The AIRMATIC system on GLE uses the same compressor/air spring/height sensor architecture as S-Class but with SUV-rated components for heavier load.
AIRMATIC Component Costs
- Air spring (per corner, OEM): RM 1,500–2,800
- Compressor (OEM): RM 3,500–6,000
- Height sensor (per corner, incl. coding): RM 600–1,000
GLE AIRMATIC Warnings
- GLE corners with more weight than a sedan — compressor failure on GLE can cause uneven load distribution that stresses the other springs more
- Never load the GLE to capacity with a failed AIRMATIC spring — risk of spring catastrophic failure
