CLA M270, M274 and M260 engines all use long-life iridium or platinum spark plugs at 60,000 km intervals. Replace on schedule to maintain smooth power delivery and fuel efficiency.

Mercedes-Benz petrol engines use NGK or Bosch iridium spark plugs — change every 60,000 km. On turbocharged M270/M274 engines (C200/C180/GLC200), misfires under boost degrade the catalytic converter and can damage the turbo — do not delay plug replacement. Budget RM 350–550 for a set of 4 iridium plugs including labour. Bosch OE plugs are the factory specification — aftermarket premium plugs (NGK Laser Iridium) are an acceptable alternative. Never use copper plugs on modern Mercedes turbo engines.
