Mercedes-Benz CLA Engine Oil Guide Malaysia — M270/M274/M260
C117 M270 uses MB 229.5 (5W-30); C117 M274 uses MB 229.51 (5W-30); C118 M260 needs MB 229.6 (0W-20). Always match the oil spec to your exact engine — wrong viscosity causes seal leaks and wear.
Same oil specifications as A-Class, based on which engine is fitted. Always verify with the build plate or service booklet — a C117 CLA 200 might have either M270 1.3T (MB 229.51) or the older M270 2.0T (MB 229.3/229.5 era). The C118 CLA 200/250 uses the same specs as W177 A-Class.
