Jazz GK5 oil leaks are common after 80,000–100,000 km — primarily at the valve cover gasket and the oil drain plug area. The compact engine bay makes some leaks harder to spot until they reach the exhaust.
Common leak sources and costs
Valve cover gasket (most common): RM120–200. Oil drain plug rethread or new plug: RM35–65. VTEC solenoid o-ring (can cause oil seeping under the intake): RM80–150. If you smell burning oil from the engine, bring the Jazz in — a small leak onto hot exhaust can create significant smoke and odour.
