Honda Jazz GK5 uses a 1.5L i-VTEC naturally aspirated engine — simple, proven, and easy to maintain. Engine oil spec is 0W-20 full synthetic. The NA engine is more forgiving of oil change intervals than a turbo, but fresh oil still matters.
Oil spec and change interval
Spec: 0W-20 full synthetic, API SN or SN+. Capacity: 3.7L with filter. Interval: every 5,000 km in city; 7,500 km if mostly highway. The i-VTEC system uses engine oil for cam phasing — keep oil clean for crisp VTEC engagement. Cost at our workshop: RM150–220 including filter.
