BR-V uses Electric Power Steering (EPS). The higher ride height makes the BR-V feel slightly heavier to steer than the Jazz — this is normal geometry, not an EPS fault. True EPS faults are rare.
EPS care and warning signs
No fluid to maintain. Warning signs: EPS warning light, sudden heavy steering, pulling to one side. If the EPS feels suddenly very heavy, pull over safely — loss of power assist at highway speeds is dangerous. Repair: EPS motor or control unit RM550–1,300. Rack replacement (rare): RM900–1,500.
