Buying a Used BMW 7 Series Malaysia — Checklist
F01 N63 750Li: check oil level (should be full — low oil = known consumption), check for white smoke. F01 730Li N52: Valvetronic fault codes, EPS condition. G11 730Li: air suspension level when cold, compressor noise, water pump hours via ISTA. All: full ISTA scan for all module faults, service history mandatory. High hidden repair costs — only buy with complete records.

7 Series Used Car Checklist
- ISTA full scan mandatory — 7 Series has 80+ control modules
- Air suspension: level at all 4 corners? Any compressor noise? Ride height even?
- N63 V8 only: check oil level — N63 is known to consume oil; any car with low oil has risk
- Test all luxury features: soft-close doors, massaging seats, sunroof, rear entertainment
- ATF and air suspension fluid service records: overdue = potential expensive repairs ahead
Pre-Purchase Inspection at 4M Car Care
Before buying any used 7 Series in Malaysia, bring it to 4M Car Care for a pre-purchase ISTA inspection. We check: all stored fault codes across 40+ modules, transmission fluid condition and adaptation values, battery SOH (state of health), brake pad thickness, tyre age and pressure, and any outstanding CBS reminders. Many sellers present cars as 'problem-free' when ISTA reveals stored codes from previous faults. The inspection fee (RM 150–200) is a fraction of the potential cost of an undisclosed fault.
