Why Correct Oil Spec Matters in Malaysia
Using the wrong oil spec in a 7 Series is one of the most common — and avoidable — workshop mistakes. Generic 5W-40 does not meet BMW's LL-01 or LL-04 additive requirements and will accelerate VANOS solenoid wear and timing chain stretch. Malaysia's high ambient temperature actually makes spec compliance more critical, not less. Always verify the oil approval code on the bottle before purchasing.
