Malaysia vs CBS Intervals
BMW's CBS (Condition Based Service) was calibrated for European conditions — cooler ambient temperatures, better fuel quality, and fewer traffic jams. In Malaysia's heat and stop-start city traffic, oil degrades faster. At 4M Car Care we recommend following the 10,000 km oil change interval for all 7 Series variants regardless of what CBS shows. For other CBS items (brake fluid, coolant), the European interval is generally fine.
