BMW 7 Series Carbon Cleaning Malaysia
N52 (port injection): no direct injection carbon issue. N63 V8 (direct injection): carbon buildup at 60,000–80,000 km. B48/B58 (direct injection): same carbon timeline. N63 walnut blast: 8-port V8 = RM 900–1,400. B48 4-cyl: RM 600–1,000. B58 6-cyl: RM 700–1,200. 7 Series VIP chauffeur use (frequent idling) accelerates carbon.

7 Series Carbon Buildup
- B58 and N63 are direct injection — carbon builds on intake valves over time
- B58 walnut blast (6 ports): RM 900–1,200
- N63 V8 walnut blast (8 ports): RM 1,500–2,200 — complex job, two cylinder banks
Walnut Blasting in Malaysia — When and Why
Direct-injection engines like the B58 3.0T or N63 4.4T V8 in the 7 Series cannot clean intake valves with fuel the way port-injected engines do. Carbon accumulates on the back of intake valves — typically 3–5mm thick by 80,000 km of KL city driving. Symptoms: rough idle, hesitation at low RPM, reduced fuel economy. Walnut blasting (media blasting with crushed walnut shells) removes the deposits without disassembling the head. At 4M Car Care this is done with the engine at operating temperature for best results.
