BMW 7 Series Air Conditioning Malaysia — 4-Zone
F01/G11 uses R134a (F01) or R1234yf (G11 post-2018). Four-zone climate system with rear seat controls. Front and rear compressor evaporators — rear system can fail independently. Malaysia service cost RM 300–600 including regas. Cabin filter every 15,000 km — two filter locations on some 7 Series variants.

7 Series A/C Service
- F01/F02: R134a refrigerant — regas RM 200–280
- G11/G12: R1234yf — regas RM 380–520
- 4-zone climate control: multiple actuators and blend doors — diagnose with ISTA if one zone fails
R1234yf vs R134a in Malaysia
Newer 7 Series variants (post-2017) use R1234yf refrigerant, which costs significantly more to regas than the older R134a. Do not mix refrigerant types — this damages the A/C compressor and seals. Always confirm which refrigerant your specific 7 Series uses before any A/C service. In Malaysia's year-round heat, the A/C compressor works nearly continuously — annual A/C inspection at 4M Car Care is recommended to catch compressor wear and refrigerant leaks early.
