4 Series Used Car Checklist
- ISTA scan: timing chain health (N20), cam correlation codes, transmission data
- N20 cold-start rattle test: mandatory on any F3x 420i/428i
- ATF service history: overdue ATF means hard shifting and potential ZF damage
- F33 Convertible specific: test soft-top operation, check for water ingress in boot
- Check tyre wear pattern — uneven wear indicates alignment or suspension issues
Pre-Purchase Inspection at 4M Car Care
