BMW 1 Series Workshop Cases Malaysia — 4M Car Care
Real 1 Series cases: F20 118i 70,000 km N20 timing chain rattle — full chain kit RM 3,800. F20 120i valve cover soaked coils — coil + gasket same visit. F40 118i DCT shudder 40,000 km — DCT fluid change + ISTA adaptation reset solved. Costs included.
Case 1: F20 M135i — DCT Judder + Fluid (60,000 km)
M135i owner reported clutch judder in slow traffic — the car shuddered when pulling away at low speed. ISTA showed no DCT fault codes but fluid was 55,000 km old (never changed). We drained and refilled the DCT fluid and performed the ISTA clutch pack adaptation reset. Judder completely eliminated. Owner now changes DCT fluid every 30,000 km given his city driving pattern. Total: RM 480.
Case 2: F20 116i B38 — Misfires + Engine Mounts (95,000 km)
116i presented with rough idle and occasional P0302 misfire code (cylinder 2). Customer also complained idle vibration was worse than when car was new. ISTA confirmed coil 2 fault + engine mount deterioration flag. We replaced plug 2 (found fouled) + coil 2 + both engine mounts. All three issues contributed to the rough idle. Post-repair: vibration returned to normal 3-cylinder character, misfire resolved. Total RM 1,100.
