Pre-Purchase Checklist
- Full OBD scan: check all 4 ECUs (engine, transmission, 4WD, ABS/VSC) — any active codes are negotiating points
- Air suspension function test: raise, lower, and hold each corner — any that sag or don't hold mean costly repairs
- Underbody inspection: check for rust on chassis rails, differential housings, and exhaust — LC200 diesel units are prone to underbody rust
- Timing chain rattle on cold start: no rattle acceptable — any noise means chain work is needed soon
